Williamson County Association of REALTORS® Announces April 2010 Sales Statistics

May 12, 2010 (Franklin, TN) – The Williamson County Association of REALTORS® announces the statistics for home sales in Williamson County, TN for the month of April 2010. There were 281 residential and condominium closings reported during this period according to figures provided by RealTracs Solutions, the multiple listing service used by REALTORS® in the Middle Tennessee region.
 
The number of single-family residential closings increased by almost fifty (50) percent compared to April 2009, while the median sales price experienced a decrease of twenty-seven (27) percent.  The median is a typical market price where half of all homes sold for more and half sold for less.  The average days on the market (DOM) for residential homes decreased by five (5) days compared to the same period last year.
